How Can I Show My Program Works?

Facilitators who teach Three Principles of Health Realization (3PHR), describe dramatic changes in client behavior and outcomes.

While these professionals seem convinced, they often wonder “How do I demonstrate impact?" Read here: an example of research that demonstrates 3PHR impact.

This is always an issue in social research, how can research identify the most significant or salient aspect of an intervention, especially when so many of the circumstances are shifting?

Three years ago, we shared a vision to provide research support and build a body of peer-review evidence for practitioners to use in their work.

We understood that high-quality research needed a measurement tool (a list of questions called a scale or inventory) that could assess how much an individual understood 3PHR teachings. The trick to this list of questions? To make sure anyone could answer them. The questions could not use professional language but still needed to reflect an understanding of the teaching.

Without a tested and reliable list of questions, there is no way to narrow down all the different things that happen when a person learns about the principles. For example,

  • Was it the nice facilitator that led to a significant increase in wellbeing?

  • Did learning about mind, consciousness, and thought altogether decrease anxiety?

  • Was one principle more impactful for more people?

We hired Dr. Adriaan Denkers to test previous scales and develop a reliable measurement scale—a tool designed to capture a person’s experience of each of the three principles—as described by Sydney Banks,

The Missing Link.

A 3-year process that began with extensive testing and the development of 20 questions—is now 6 questions!

Our first article about this scale and its development is currently under review at Scientific Reports. A preprint is now available for anyone to read: READ IT HERE!

In addition, the 6-item scale that took us years to develop and a big upfront financial investment is now available for anyone to use!

We will release a link for you to test this new scale in one week! While we hope you will try the scale and give us feedback (so we can test and develop it further) we are thrilled to be offering this simple, short, and effective tool to the whole community.

Curious? Come back in a week and take our survey!

Warmly yours,

Jeanne Catherine
